Bi-Lingual Russian-English fully licensed pre-school opened its doors
in September 2011. Enrollment is open for students from ages 2.5 to 6.
Full day schedule is from 7:30 to 6pm. Half day and partial week
enrollment is available. WizKids Academy pre-school continues to
emphasize high educational standards that we successfully
implemented at Wizards of the Minds Learning Center for the last 10
years.
Our curriculum is structured to prepare children for school and geared
towards high academic achievement and creativity. We introduce
children early on to art, music and literature as well as basic academic
concepts such as math, phonics, science, history and geography.
WizKids Academy curriculum is enriched with chess lessons. Research shows that young children can be taught to think clearly through chess and that learning these skills early in
life can greatly benefit later intellectual development. Former U.S. Secretary of Education Terrell Bell in his book "Your
Child’s Intellect" encourages introduction to chess as a way to develop a preschooler’s intellect and academic
readiness. Enrichment lessons in Math, Chess, Fine Art and Russian offered at no extra cost for pre-K and
Kindergarten age students. Hot lunches, healthy breakfast and afternoon snacks are provided and included in
tuition.

Kindergarten Class enrollment is limited to children who are at least 4 1/2 years old by September 1st and pass a
placement test. All lessons in the K group will be in English with the exception of the Russian language classes. The
child must attend at least 4 times a week to be enrolled. Kindergarten program includes:

Language, literature and reading program
Math (Singapore curriculum)
Science
History and Geography
Socialization skills to develop independence and confidence
Music and Art education
Weekly enrichment lessons included in tuition: Chess, Fine Arts and Russian language classes
Optional private and semi-private piano lessons are available (additional tuition applies for piano)
